We’re back!

It’s been a long old while since we’ve written an actual blog post. Sometimes life just gets in the way, and 2018 has been a manic year for both of us. But, now that’s it’s 2019, we wanted to get back into the swing of things here on Perfect Pesto. If you follow us on Instagram you’ll know we’ve been busy cooking, eating and travelling, and we can’t wait to start writing and sharing with you again!

We wanted to take this opportunity to re-introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit more about us. If you didn’t already know, we’re Gabriella and Daniela, sisters from Bath. We grew up in the small town of Bradford on Avon and spent most of our childhood weekends helping out at the family owned restaurants. With an Italian father, can you blame us for loving food?!

The youngest – does most of the writing, started Perfect Pesto years ago and managed to convince Gabriella to get involved and share the cooking. Studied in Kingston-upon-Thames and ended up staying for 8 years. Marketeer for foodie events and festivals. Loves avocado for breakfast, prosecco, and summer in Sorrento. Spent the Christmas of 2018 becoming a home owner back in the South West with husband Wayne. Now a Frome resident but still spending lots of time in London (sleeping on Gabby’s sofa!). Eats out too often but makes a great lasagne.

The oldest by two years – not as interested in the writing but totally on board with the cooking and eating. Works in aviation and loves to travel. Moved to London aged 18, studied at Westminster and now lives in Walton on Thames, Surrey. Loves aubergine, blue cheese and crime documentaries. Celebrates every Birthday with a holiday. Lives with fellow plane geek and boyfriend Phil. Happiest when making travel plans. Also eats out too often but cooks the best Sunday roast.

We’ll be sharing our most loved recipes and our favourite foodie spots, from the South West to London and everywhere in between. Grab your knife and fork – it’s going to be delicious.
